Basketball Shoes

When purchasing basketball shoes it is important to think of many factors depending on how you play and your weakness and strenghts.

  • The Weight of the shoe is often influenced by the amount of plastic extra's place on the shoe for fashion or gimmicks. Make sure these extras are worth while, otherwise they could become annoying. If you find a shoe that feels as if your not even wearing any and is a snug fit this is often a good choice. Although it all comes down to personal taste in the end.
  • High or Low cut shoes, often this is a matter of taste, what position you play and the strenght of you ankles. Usually point guards have low to medium cut shoes and forwards higher cut. But with fashion a deciding factor really high cut shoes are not so common.
  • The shape of shoe sole is also important when making a purchase. If the base is to narrow and high such as in some of the Nike Shock designs, you can roll your ankle more often than if you have a more stable base.
